Algorithm

Availability for validation
To be eligible to win at the conclusion of the Challenge, the team must either fully disclose the algorithm including parameter choice or share the algorithm in a black-box manner for any validation request within a year from the end of the Challenge.

ISMRM water-fat toolbox
Participants may develop their own algorithms, and may build on top of one or more algorithms of the ISMRM water-fat toolbox with consent from original authors of the particular algorithms. (If in doubt, contact Diego Hernando or Harry Hu). Participants may not simply submit results using toolbox code as is, without any modifications or improvements. (The goal of the Challenge is to push the envelope!)

The water-fat toolbox is available at http://ismrm.org/workshops/FatWater12/data.htm. The toolbox is open for download for all participants of the fat/water workshop. For others, access can be requested by contacting Diego Hernando or Harry Hu.

IP and applicable law
The submitted algorithm must not violate or infringe on any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, and interface must be written in English. For the teams invited to submit their algorithms, the organizers must be able to run the submitted algorithm without paying for any applicable software licenses (beyond Matlab) and without violating or infringing on any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
